Dr. Abdelsattar Farrag, FRCS
👁️Dr. Farrag works as Ophthalmology Consultant in Uveitis at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.
👁️He previously served as a Consultant in Uveitis and Medical Retina at Royal Bolton Hospital, where he was appointed to establish and lead a dedicated uveitis service. Over a four-year period, he successfully developed the service into a comprehensive uveitis service for the management of all forms of uveitis, including complex cases.
👁️Dr. Farrag is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. He commenced his ophthalmic training in Egypt and subsequently gained broad international experience, working in a major tertiary hospital in Oman and as a registrar at the Singapore National Eye Centre.
👁️He has completed advanced subspecialty fellowships in Medical Retina and Uveitis at University Hospitals of Leicester, and in Inflammatory Eye Disease at University Hospitals of Bristol and the Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre. His academic contributions include several publications in peer-reviewed journals, reflecting his ongoing commitment to clinical research and the advancement of knowledge in uveitis.
👁️Alongside his clinical and research work, Dr. Farrag is an active medical educator. He has delivered lectures and courses at both national and international levels, and his educational video content on uveitis is featured by the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
